Better Together Resources emerged out of the growing commitment of many who are dedicated to see greater unity in the body of Christ and greater impact for the kingdom. When Paul Fleischmann wrote the book Better Together, his intention was to share the experiences and timeless principles that emerged over 30 years of networking people in youth ministry.
The book sold out in less than a year and soon there was an appeal to take the message of the book on the road. “Better Together Leadership Summits,” conducted from coast to coast, have stimulated a deeper understanding of collaboration and unity. This conversational and interactive experience is unique in the marketplace -- helping leaders grow in learning how to work together more effectively and with greater impact.
In the natural growth of things, more resources are being added: access to Paul Fleischmann as consultant and coach, more written support, and growing social media interaction. Stay tuned!
Paul Fleischmann co-founded the National Network of Youth Ministries (NNYM) in 1981 and served as its president until 2011. He now serves NNYM as President Emeritus. He founded Better Together Resources in 2015 and does workshops, presentations and consulting across the country and in a variety of settings and groups. He also offers consulting in the areas of executive leadership and succession planning.
Previously, Paul served for 20 years with Campus Crusade for Christ’s High School Ministry (Student Venture), working with students locally and then nationally, serving as the director of a ministry to local church youth pastors. He got his start in youth ministry as a part-time youth pastor and later as a staff intern with Youth for Christ.
Paul earned his bachelor’s degree from Seattle Pacific University and his Master of Divinity from Western Seminary in Portland, Oregon. His book, Discipling the Young Person, won the Gold Medallion award. In October 2013, he received the “Lifetime Achievement Award” from Youth Specialties. His most recent book, Better Together, was released in November 2014 and has become an official networking resource for over 20 national ministries.
For 30 years Paul has been the lead partner in forming and guiding the National Network of Youth Ministries – uniting youth workers, churches and national ministries to reach teenagers for Christ. This coalition involved 100,000 churches, 250,000 youth workers and over 3 million teenagers. He also is a founding partner of See You at the Pole, the Campus Alliance and the Youth Ministry Executive Council. He has served on the boards of the National Association of Evangelicals, the National Prayer Committee, Mission America and the 4-to-14 Window Movement for North America. Formerly, Paul was an elder in his church (Emmanuel Faith Community Church, Escondido, CA) and Chair of the World Evangelical Alliance Youth Commission, an international youth ministry network.
Paul and his wife Toni live in San Diego, California and have two adult sons and three grandchildren.
